About Us
An echocardiogram uses ultrasound to evaluate the heart muscle, heart valves and risk for heart disease.
West Side Cardiology Associates - the West Side’s premier cardiology practice - was created in 1994 with the merger of the practices of Richard Watts, MD, Thomas Comerford, MD, and Marcello Mellino, MD. Today’s practice is comprised of eight board-certified cardiologists with offices conveniently located in four western suburbs. West Side Cardiology Associates is also affiliated with Medina Affiliates.
West Side Cardiology Associates offers extensive diagnostic capabilities at our Fairview Park office that are certified by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology laboratories. We also provide in-hospital non-invasive testing as well as invasive diagnostic procedures at the hospitals where our physicians have admitting privileges - Fairview, Lakewood, Medina General, St. John West Shore and Southwest General.
We conduct clinical research trials through our Cleveland Cardiovascular Research Foundation for new treatments, medications and/or devices to manage cardiovascular disease.
